Toni Breidinger

In honor of Women’s History month, we at Advantage Automotive Analytics would like offer a tribute to some of the outstanding talent and success of women in the automotive industry.

If you’ve been following our blog page and social media posts recently, you’ll note we’ve been celebrating Women’s History Month by honoring women who have made important and lasting contributions to our automotive industry.

In my opinion, one women I most admire is a new-comer to the NASCAR racing scene, 21-year-old Toni Breidinger. She made history earlier this year when she became NASCAR’s first Arab-American female driver after she made her debut at Daytona International Speedway when she finished 18th at the Lucas Oil 200, a precursor to the NASCAR Cup Series opener, the Daytona 500.

Breidinger is also a model who represented such brands as SKIMS and Tory Burch. Though the young woman has achieved accolades and success as a model, her true passion remains reaching the NASCAR Cup Series.

Her love of racing started at 9 when her father bought her and her sister Annie (also a racing driver) go-karts. She said the minute she got behind the wheel, she was in love. She longs for the competition, the adrenaline rush, and that she’s in the sport for the long haul.

She drives the No. 2 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet in her first full season on the ARCA series (she appeared in three races in 2018), and Breidinger competes in the No. 82 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. This means this young, talented Arab-American woman competes in two of NASCAR’s top four series.

I, for one, am looking forward to following her career for years to come. I’m already one of her more than 1 million of her social media followers. I’m sure she’ll soon be racing in the NASCAR Cup Series!
